1. Padukone was a state level badminton player turned model and a top level Bollywood star, who is presently pursuing acting career in Hollywood.
2. She was born on January 05, 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has a younger sister, Anisha Padukonea budding golfer. Her surname Padukone is the name of the village near Kundapura in Udupi district in Karnataka, India.
3. Her father Prakash Padukone is a former international badminton player of repute and her mother Ujjala is travel agent. Her father won the men’s singles title at the All England Championship in 1980.
4. Padukone dis her schooling at ‘Sophia High School and pre-university education at ‘Mount Carmel College, Bangaluru, India.
